OGP, Town play out drawn game

Cuttack: OGP and Town Club played out a goalless draw while the match between Radharaman Club and Odisha Police was abandoned due to rain in the FAO 1st Division League football league at the Barabati Stadium here, Tuesday.

Both OGP and Town Club started with attacking intent. Both sides had a number of opportunities to break the deadlock but failed to do because some of their players had left the shooting boots behind.

In the other match of the day, Radharaman Club were leading 3-1 against Odisha Police when officials called off the game due to torrential rain and lightning. The match was then 43 minutes old.

The Football Association of Odisha (FAO), in a press release, also informed that the match between East Coast Railway and Sports Hostel has been rescheduled and will be played September 12. Previously, the match was to be played, August 17.
